Yes idle time counts towards the hours of service.
Our hours of service commence when the first guests are scheduled to be in the same room as our setup. We understand the importance of timing, and strive to ensure that our setup does not disturb your guests and is complete prior to their arrival.
For instance, if we are setting up in the main banquet hall and cocktail hour is in a separate room from 6:00 – 7:00 pm, our service time will begin at 7:00 pm. However, if we are setting up in the cocktail area, our service time will commence at 6:00 pm when guests are present.
Please note that any downtime during the event, such as speeches or dances, will not extend the service time as our staff is required to remain on site. Our commitment to providing high-quality service is also reflected in fair compensation for our team as they are required to be onsite for the duration of the event.
